Styled Shoots
As a creative, it is so important to be able to express our creativity by taking part in styled shoots. I was delighted to be selected to take part in this particular shoot, not only because it meant working with a variety of super talented wedding suppliers throughout the country (and the world!) but also because it took place at Downham Hall in Essex which is local to me - I have been lucky enough to work here a number of times for weddings, events and make-up masterclasses.
The Concept
The concept was put together by photographer Deborah Skorupski (Bamboo Dreams Photography) Sheeba Kukreja from Hatchfully Yours who I 'met' virtually in the Wedding Business Club.
Deborah and Sheeba created the most organised, thought through styled shoot I have ever worked on. They really looked after all of us on the day providing us with drinks and refreshments throughout and even a goodie bag! Deborah put everyone at ease and was so easy to work with - I think this really shows in the beautiful images that were created. As a result, a blog has been published on the Green Union Wedding Blog (see below).
I have always loved the work of Monet, the colour palette he favoured and the beautiful paintings of waterlilies are amongst my favourites. I was excited to be able to create a make-up that would fit this theme perfectly and collectively be a part of achieving the vision alongside different industry suppliers, that would result in beautiful images.
Sustainability
The aim of the shoot was to promote sustainability within the Luxury wedding sector with each supplier being eco-conscious, proving that the terms 'luxury' and 'sustainable/eco-friendly' can be combined successfully and beautifully.
Publication
The images have been incorporated into an article that has been published on the Green Union blog and I am very thankful to Deborah and Sheeba for working so hard to write this article for publication in the perfect forum. Make-up Style
I created natural bridal make-up look, creating beautiful skin, and incorporating a pastel colour palette that would marry well with the colour themes and complement the models.
